The workstations i am dealing with do not have Floppy drives, only CD drives. I need to figure out a way to create a disk that will boot to a chkdks and need to keep end user involvement to a minimum. I basically need to run scan with fix option to correct software errors on HD when the sytem will not boot up.

If somebody else would have asked me how to solve such a problem I would have recommended exactly this! But I was somehow totally focused on this chkdsk problem. Getting old I do the same thing "get OCD" about something wrong with technology, have to remember to step back and think about the "big picture".
